Galapagos cruises
There are two ways to travel around the islands: a tour navegable, where you sleep on the boat, or less expensive tours where you sleep ashore at night and travel during the day. On the former you travel at night, arriving at a new landing site each day, with more time ashore. Itineraries are controlled by the National Park to distribute tourism evenly throughout the islands.
Boats used for tours range from small yachts to large cruise ships. By the most common type of boat is the motor sailer, which carries 8 to 20 passengers. The smaller yachts do provide for a more personal, relaxed, and thorough Galapagos Islands tour. Your island tour-walks will be in groups of about 16 people. Cruise ships bring their passengers ashore in groups of 16 (the maximun allowed by the National Park) but they do so in continuous waves until are disgorged.
People who get the most out of a trip to the Galapagos are those who have an interest in natural history, a love of wildlife and the ability to bury the bothers of hopping around on a fixed itinerary with a group or fellow tourist.
