Bartolome Island
Is located off eastern shore of James Island (Santiago Island). It has an area of 1.2 sq. Km. Here yo can see the most frequently photographed and hence most famous vista on the island. The Pinnacle Rock is a quite striking and the most photographed landmark in the islands. You'll have all kinds of angles and distances to choose from, including close-ups from the panga. The view from the summit offers the best panoramic view of the Island.
Rabida Island
Is also called Jervis. It has an area of 5 sq. Km. There is a wet landing on to a dark red beach where sea lions haul on and pelicans nest. This is one of the palece to see these birds nesting. Behind the beach, there is a saltwater lagoon where flamingos and white-cheeked pintails are sometimes seen.
Genovesa Island
Located in the northeast portion of the Galapagos. This island is know by its English name Tower. It is a best place ti see a red footed booby colony and it provides visitors with the opportunity to visit colonies of great frigate birs, red-billed tropic birds, swallow tailled gulls, masked boobies and many thousands of storm pretrels. There are two vistor sites:
Prince Philip's Steps also called El Barranco is on the eastern arm of the bay and can be reached with a dry landing. A steep and rocky path leads to the top of 25m-high cliffs, and nesting seabirds are sometimes found right on the narrow path.
Darwin Bay Beach is a coral beach reached by a wet landing. There is a 750 m trail along the beach that passes through more seabird colonies. You can take a pleasant panga ride along the cliffs. The panga is often followed by playful sea lions. continues...
